Description
One of the most remarkable regions that I have had the pleasure of photographing is the Whitsundays. So unique in character, and just a short hop from the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, the crowning jewel of the Whitsundays has to be Hill Inlet. Whether viewed from the shores adjacent to Whitehaven Beach, or from the air, the inlet is a visual feast. I have shot the inlet on two occassions, both of which offered something unique. By far the most rewarding was flying over Hill Inlet at the change of tide where the emerald waters that drain from the land coalesce with the azure waters of the Pacific Ocean.
